Posted April 2, 200817 yr Hi, I have just found this forum, so I am still looking around. I bought my first budgie on the weekend. Totally a spur of the moment decision. Went in for dog food & came out with a bird aswell....My kids love her.. :yellowhead: I got a pretty blue female (I have been told). She is pretty quiet (about 3 months old). She now sits on my finger but we havent ventured out of the cage yet. Now I find out that girls dont talk, I am hoping that this one will be the exception to the rule...(Laughing out loud) I am trying to get some info on the way they chirp & what it means (bird talk) I guess!! Angry, happy, etc?? Does anyone have a female budgie that talks at all??

Oh thankyou for that, I was beginning to think I should have got a male one, but she was so pretty I couldnt resist. We called her Pippa. My other half wanted to call her 'Seed Face'.. Pippa is much nicer...(Laughing out loud)
