Yes Dude only has one wing clipped, until I found this site I had always been told to only clip one wing. I will be clipping his other wing as soon as he is over the dog attack.

 

Dude update; He is still very alert and is even having a little chatter to me. I rang the vet and was told to keep him warm and quiet and to add some elecrolytes to his water.

 

This is a picture from today, the skin where he is missing the feathers looks sore (he didn't like me checking it) but is not broken.

Sorry to hear about the near miss. I have 2 dogs and a cat, and we had the same worry the kids with a previous bird (3 yrs ago). Always wanted to open the cage to get a cuddle.

 

I hope Dude gets back to his former self quickly as he is a gorgeus looking bird.
