A Question has been received in the FAQ section regarding bringing pet budgerigars to Australia.

Thanks for that Daz, I'm not really interested in the importation but more exportation... I plan on retireing overseas oneday and was curious if I could take them... Thanks for the info.

I think that would depend on where you are going. You would have to apply to that country as well as Australia to see what requirements are needed.
