How Does Grey Green Work?

I have a Grey Green Normal cock paired with a Light Green Spangle hen.

I know I will have some Spangles but will everything be Grey Green?

Assuming that the birds are not split for blue, you will have some greens & some greygreens. Not sure of the percentage's though.

Green is the only colour that grey will mix with. So Ikon is right.

So does that mean that the dusks and slates are not mixed with a grey gene????

Grey is actually a modifying colour like violet , when the grey is put to green it modifies the colour to what is known as the grey green

The Grey factor is often misunderstood. Because a bird carrying two grey factors will always produce grey young, Every visual grey bird is a blue series bird which has been modified by on or two grey factors. If the bird is carrying the grey in a single factor, and is mated to a blue bird , the youngsters may be blue or grey, but if the grey bird is carrying two grey factors, then all the offspring will be visually grey but will be carrying only grey factor.

Equally, if the grey bird is mated with a green, then the grey factor will modify the green, turning it into grey green. The grey factor can be introduced into all the varieties and colours and will modify them all in the same manner.

I have two grey green birds togather right now. They have produced a recessive pied and a grey normal. :D

Both grey greens are split recessive. Is the pied grey?

No the pied is yellow and may feather up to be grey green pied. The grey normal wears the split to recessive pied spot on its head.
