Posted March 16, 200817 yr Well, basically title says it all. Do they make a good pairing (not that I have anything to choose from - they are my only budgies. ) Hen is blue dom. pied, YF2, clearflight, opaline and cock is grey spangle (double factor.. I think.)
March 16, 200817 yr Any budgies will make a good couple - it just depends on what you want from them My only question is... is your hen a HEN - she looks male from this angle.... Also... What is your set up like??? can you post a picture of the cage please. Edited March 16, 200817 yr by **Liv**
March 16, 200817 yr Author She's definitely a hen. I'd like a grey yellowhead out of them, ..I'm just not sure how yellowhead genetics work since I haven't found much information about it. Edited March 16, 200817 yr by Krompskont

I am not very good with genetics... I have a grey spangle too and i ahve been told to find him a Yellow Faced hen in order to get Yellow Faced grey chicks. So your pair will possibly do that. It also depends on the hidden/split genetics your birds have - it can be quite hard to tell what will pop out of the eggs I'm sure one of the genetic savvy breeders will be by to help you out more soon
March 16, 200817 yr I think they will make great baby budgies... not sure if you'll get yellowfaced greys, like Liv said alot would depend on the hidden genetics in both... but hey, you could come out with a plethora of colours and that would be a great thing.
