Fallow Breeding

Hi Guys -

I have a few questions

what is the expected outcome of

A Hen Fallow to a Norm

I have no idea if it (Norm ) is carrying a fallow gene so let say no it doesn't

Will it be

100% Norm

50% Fallow 50% norm

or 100% Normal looking budgie with Red eyes?

As elly said 100% normal split to fallow... Your other birds needs to carry fallow by atleast being split for it to show in the off spring

So they will have the Gene But won't show in the chicks???

I'm better off getting a Fallow male??? to have fallow chicks?

If you want to guarantee 100% outcome yes you will need another fallow

If you want to guarantee 50% outcome you will need a bird split to fallow

Yes the offspring will all carry the fallow gene and can pass it on to the next generation
