Posted March 4, 200817 yr Hello everyone! Let me introduce Sunshine, my new (and first) budgie! As a new owner, I am totally confused in colour mutations and was wondering what Sunshine is. I thought he was a recessive pied but was told it more likely that he's a greywing dilute. Can anyone shed some light? I included some close-up pictures and was wondering if I could get a guess on the approx. age, and sex (if at all possible) of the budgie as well... it would be very much appreciated! The forum Budgie Pictures right above there it gives you info on posting and that all pictures must be resized to 450x450 or they will be turned to links. March 4, 200817 yr Hello and welcome :hap: Sunshine is very pretty... I am thinking Female.... but i don't feel 100% on this one.... the others will be able to help too I am a shocker with mutations as i am always muddeling them up (Laughing out loud). but to me she looks like a young dominant pied, dilute is she having her first moult? March 4, 200817 yr Hi, welcome to the forums what a pretty budgie. it looks like a Yellowface type 2 dilute. the pictures are a little dark to tell, is it possible for you to get a picture of the back? as for gender, l'm also leaning towards female, are you able to get a closer shot of the cere?

March 5, 200817 yr Can't tell you the mutation need clearer pics of the front and back and like Libby said I am leaning more toward male because the cere is smooth and round.
