Posted February 27, 200817 yr This is my cage http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa143/F...es/PA241588.jpg Its about 64" long, 21" and 35" high (cage itself) The budgies are usually on one side and the tiels on the other. Sometimes i open it all up and let them all mingle. I'm not so worried as they all get along great. I really love this cage BUT it does take up alot of space. I'd love to get the double stacked one. Only issue with that is lack of light on the bottom. I've had a double stacked cage before but it was poorly built and horrible to be taking apart. Hardly any good light got down to the bottom. Eventually sold it to a dove breeder. It also don't help to have such a small door(room). It's less then 20" wide and makes it hard to take the cages outside to give them a good cleaning. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa143/F...es/PA241585.jpg Edited February 27, 200817 yr by Elly pictures over the board regulation of 450x450, you can resize or leave as links, thank you for understanding.
February 27, 200817 yr Hello and Welcome Your cage setup looks fantastic - wider is always better than taller :wine
February 27, 200817 yr I have 1 cage just like that for Merlin he loves it is so big :wine. Wonderful set-up. If I am right the cage comes off the stand that is what I do when I take it outside and then I just hose it down and wash with detergent. Edited February 27, 200817 yr by Elly
February 27, 200817 yr I think the cage is excellent for birds! But does it house all 5 budgies and 2 cockatiels :S ? You'd be better off with this one than a double stacked one... even if it is a bit too large for the room it's in or the door it passes through... perhaps start cleaning it in the room and placing it by an open window for fresh air/sunlight... P.S. For small amount of seed husks a vacuum can come in handy :wine Edited February 28, 200817 yr by *libby*
February 28, 200817 yr Author House budgies and tiels. Usually tiels on one side and budgies on the other. Some times i take out the divider and let them all mingle. I do love it because i can open it up into one huge cage. I thought about placing it near a window only there are drafts because new windows got put in a year ago and well.... it never got finished. Because it's not finished i have a small issue of Lilly chewing on the wall. i've taped up what i could and stuck up some paper where she loves to chew. Life with birds i guess.
