Mutation Of My Apple?

Featured Replies

I would like to know the mutation of Apple. I have never seen one like him. He doesn't seem to have any markings on his wings and only VERY light markings on his head. (You can barely see his baby bars.)

Apple is a pretty green opaline spangle :)
Cool, thank you. :D So she is a spangle even though I can't see black markings on the rim of her feathers?Oh, and do her white cheeks mean anything? I always thought that green budgies have blue cheeks...

She is a spangle because the yellow is the color that is tracing instead of the black & the clear tail, the white cheek patches are common in different varieties not just spangles. Apple is a beautiful budgie. :)

White cheek patches are normal for spangles :)

Apple is very pretty. :wine I really like Apples Opaline friend too :D

I think for showing that an Opaline Spangle should have some Black markings in the wings…but I like birds like that, in the Opaline series, that have only the two colours…only Green & Yellow & in the Blue series Blue & white.

apples is a pretty girl, i agree with the classification kaz have given :wine

They dont expect black markings when an opaline spangle is shown, Norm ( not over here anyway )....but if a normally marked spangle is shown and an opaline spangle is shown...usually the normal spangle will win. However...if the opaline spangle is a far better bird, it will win. Same goes for cinnamon spangles...as they arent a standard spangle. they will be penalised on markings BUT if its a better bird it will win.
