It is with a tear in my eye that I report Dennis did not make it through the night. He passed on at about 11pm EST. I buried him in a nice bit of garden this afternoon.

Thank-you to all for your assistance last night. If I am presented with a simliar situation again, at least I'll now know what it is I should do.

You did the best you could Trev. It was just too late for the little fellow. Who knows how long he had been out without food and water and with all the stresses being in the "wild" had for him. At least you tried :angel1:

I'm so sorry for your loss. You did everything you possibly could for this poor little fella. Good on you. Also, may you find comfort in the fact that he spent his last moments in the warmth and loving care of you, not alone and cold on a work site. :D Dennis xxx

I'm So sorry :(

Well done for everything you did for him! Maesie is right - you saved him from being alone, cold and frightened in the wild (not a place for a domestic budgie) :D *tears of sorrow and happiness mixed together*

I'm sorry Dennis.. R.I.P. little chicky!

you did the best you could in the situation, he sounded like he was too far gone already :D

I'm very sorry for your loss, you did the best you could for him.
