Tamed Budgie

i have been wondering if a female budgie that has been a house pet and is tame can be used for breeding, would she get depressed from being moved into a breeding cabinet and miss human contact.she is still only 4 months old but i am wanting to know if she would be better off living in the aviary because i want to breed with her.

she is only young. if she goes out and gets used to being a bird and not being a human :budgiedance: , by the time she is 12 months, I cant see why there would be a problem with her breeding :D

Both tame and aviary birds breed :budgiedance: if you wish to keep her tame once she's old enough she should still breed for you :D

I am doing the same with my tame boy honey atm... he will be bred once old enough as a tame bird

thanks libby, she is so friendly and i love having her in the house. i had her in the aviary but brought her back inside because i missed her.

I believe Karen (that is her user name) has Boris and she is a tame budgie that breeds plus she has an aviary. So if she sees this post or you can PM her and ask her how things have gone for her :).
