A great Y/F opaline grey hen. Great width, plenty of spot. The flecking not an issue with his clean head. Sky blue normal, he has a deep mask looks like he blows his head, looks like a big bird.

Pluck them bare Kaz! Big square perches, chick weed if you can get it, Spark in the water.

Sorry! I'm getting carried away. You probably know all this!

Chickweed is a winter growing weed, won’t be ready for feeding till close to spring. It’s a small soft low growing weed, with runners & sort of heart shaped leaves & small white flowers & round white to brown seeds. Needs plenty of winter rain.

Because we didn't really have a summer and a lot of rain there is a bit around N.S.W. in shady damp places. Norms description is spot on. Chickweed or Mouse ear as some call it is full of vitamin E which helps fertility. It has a tonic affect on the birds.

 

I know a lot of people cut the feathers around the vent. But every breeder I visited last year ( I'm not going to mention names ) some the top breeders in the state all plucked them bare.

 

I forgot Spark, Spark is a carbohydrate and electrolyte replacement for birds. It contains Glucose, Citrate irons, Bicarbonate ions, Sodium ions, Potassium ions, mixed in there water.

Elly didn't know d*** which in the dictionary is expression of annoyance would be a swear word when there are a lot of other posts on here which abbreviate a lot worse? But you seem to miss them? Maybe you don't realise what they mean? Some you have even responded to.
