i was on eterri's budgie talk website reading about the different sounds that budgies make, and Bing keeps on making the ACKACKACKACK! call, could this be male behaviour? or both male and female?

thanks

I am not sure, but I think a lot of people have already said that they thought Bing was female.

I both budgies make the ACK ACK sound. Pretty was a huge ACKER and he is a male you don't hear an ACK out of Merlin at all. :(

sounds like an angry hen noise to me

fixed double post

Both my budgies make the ACK ACK ACK sound. I hear it more often from the hen. She loves to do this when she wants my attention & wants to come out of her cage.

Nick your right it is an attention getter for sure :oliveb:, like I said Pretty would really do it more. Merlin does the calling then the acking.

:oliveb: Everybody ACKACKACKS here, including the female in quarantine in the bedroom, not gender specific unless my birds are weird. :oliveb:
