April 12, 200817 yr They are great photos and Gabrielle is gorgeous, i just love her colours. i do not eat spinach so i do not normally buy it but it looks like i will have to start buying it.
April 12, 200817 yr Author I do not eat it myself, well, i do, however nto normally, and not unless it is included in something like a cheesey backe My birds love it once or twice a week, so will yours. Gabrielle is amazing. It will nto be long before there is more fledgining. Little heads are starting to look out both the remaining nestboxes this very afternoon. April 12, 200817 yr Author I plan on keeping all the young from Tralia and Nibbler, and Hugo and Angel
April 13, 200817 yr Author Thanks Elly. They are all coming along well. Raining here so they are wondering why the birds in the aviary are so noisy - (Laughing out loud)!!!! request for the first moderator who reads this: I forgot to put each of my pics on a new line, so it is spreding the page out across my screen. Is it possible for you to edit my posts so this does nto happen? I will make sure I am more thoughtful in the future. Thank you in advance!! Edited April 13, 200817 yr by Dave_McMinn
April 13, 200817 yr Author removed Angel from the cage with hugo as she had layed an egg and was lookng for round 2. Angel and Tralia have both layed eggs from the perch in their seperate cages. As muh as I would love more youngsters, no more breeding for at least 6 months for anyone
April 13, 200817 yr Excellent chicks Dave…great colours no wonder you want to keep them all & Pale Ale isn’t pale any more looks like the darkest of them all
April 14, 200817 yr Author Excellent chicks Dave…great colours no wonder you want to keep them all & Pale Ale isn’t pale any more looks like the darkest of them all Thanks Norm. A love the myriad of colours. Gabrielle (Pale Ale) is definitely the darkest

April 14, 200817 yr Author Thank kaz and birdluv. Big thanks for editing those posts birdluv. Last night my little yellow faced blue in nibblers nestbox decided to come out. I had turned off the light and was about to head inside when i noticed him on the cage floor. I put him back int he nestbox. The eldest cobalt blue spangle looks to be a male, and he is going to come out of the box anyday now. He is creeping hsi way out. The eldest chick in Hugo's clutch keeps coming up for little spells, before heading back in the box. I think I might end up with 3 hens from this clutch.

April 15, 200817 yr Author New photos taken today. Sebby and Cheese's cage. All the young are out, feeding themselves, having a great time, destroying what they can. This is their last day together as tomorrow they are getting delivered to their new home, at Deb's. I hope they enjoy the car travel - (Laughing out loud). Tralia and Nibbler's cage. The little yellow faced blue has been out, got stuck and was not sure how to get back until I helped him. He is good now. Eldest cobalt blue spangle is looking to come out. Look at his big boofy head, reminds me of his grandfather, Zeus (RIP). Angel and Hugo's cage. Geo is still going well, she is pretty independent now. 1st of Hugo's clutch has left the nestbox. Actually, they all have come out, but this one has decided to stay out. Let me know if you can spot a family resemblance for this little one. I have included some pics next to her Dad to help out. okay, so far I have named Geo and Gabrielle. I still need to name some of the others. Any thoughts. This is what we have to name. It is hard at the moment as i do not know if they are male or female. If they are double factor pieds, it might take a while to work out as well. Angel and Hugo coincidentally both have daughters from their box started with G. Might continue that trend. Gwynevieve might make a cool name, what else? What are Tralia and Nibblers? And the little one from Sebby and Cheese still needs a name. Any thoughts? Scroll back trhough this thread to see some pics, it might help.
April 15, 200817 yr Author He is a big guy. I was thinking as I looked at the pics that he had best come out soon or he is not going to fit out - (Laughing out loud). He is too cute to be called Meatloaf - I know why the name, but the mental image i have is of the singer, and he is not the most attractive man. this guy is a cutie. What is a name for a big, rolly, polly, cutie? (You cannot save Dave_McMinn as that would be unfair). Might go for something like Dakila, whihc is a filipino name meaning great or large. I spend far too long standing there with the camera, waiting for him to take that leap of faith. i think even his dad is willing him on Galateah for Hugo's young girl with very little markings. It is a Greek name meaning Milk-white, or possibly Garima, which is a Sanskrit name which means grace and divinity. Others to come. Edited April 15, 200817 yr by Dave_McMinn
April 15, 200817 yr Author Goliath is a possibility, however I am sure that there are other Goliath's around. I think Kaz has one. Maybe Colossus. That sounds like a big powerful name.
April 15, 200817 yr Great photos, the blue spangle with the boofy head is cute. i hope the birds enjoy the car ride.
April 15, 200817 yr Goliath is a possibility, however I am sure that there are other Goliath's around. I think Kaz has one. Maybe Colossus. That sounds like a big powerful name. Kaz has a Goliath...he is a grand dad in my aviary :hap: THOR ??
April 15, 200817 yr Author Thor is possible. If I go for thor, then the theme has to be the same for all the siblings, so if there is a Thor, there might also be a Balder, a Heimdall, Odin, Sif, Enchantress, karnilla, Hogun, Fandrall, Volstagg, Loki, or any of the other gods of Asgard i have failed to mention
April 15, 200817 yr Very cute pics dave. He does seem big... maybe Leonidis, he was ripped in 300 (Laughing out loud). name them all after the Spartans, I'm pretty sure you won't have 300 chicks this round
April 15, 200817 yr Author Very good Jimmy. Of course, he might have the size of the Persian King. Wasn't that a great movie? I loved it, came out all pumped. Had trouble not accelerating fast as I drove home from the movies - LOL. So nominations are Goliath, Colossus, Thor and Leonidis. Hmmm.............
