Posted January 17, 200817 yr I'm contemplateing putting two twenty-eight parrots in with my 6 budgies, but before i do, i was wondering if any one would know if they will get along or if i should buy a seperate cage? if any one has some experiance on the subject, it would be very much appreciated if you could help me out! Thanks.
January 17, 200817 yr I would not mix large parrots and budgies. I have both kinds but in separate and large aviaires. When you say "cage" for the 28's do you mean aviary ? as they would need lots of flight space....around 3 metres by 4 metres or larger. Welcome to our forum...I noticed this is your first post here. If you would like to do an introduction you can post all about yourself and your birds in the MY FLOCK section. Cheers Kaz Edited January 17, 200817 yr by KAZ

And yeah i did mean cage, but thats only for sleeping if all goes well, Most of the time i leave the cage open (its quite a large house) Would that count? If not i wont buy them, whats best for the birds comes first

A cage must be big enough for full stretch of wings and to fly across the cage to other perches. If you want tame parrots its best to start with one baby and train it and add another later on I think. Some types of parrots are easier or gentler than others. Edited January 17, 200817 yr by KAZ

I do have a super huge cage in the backyard, I did use too have 2 cockatoo's in there, they flew around with alot with alot of room too spare, I'll have too clean it out a bit tho, I think it will be plenty of room for a sleeping place and two fly from side to side and stretch there wings tho, Think i'll have too get some help carrying it in the house tho Oh yeah, if you dont mind, think you could answer one more question? (Sorry) But are they aggresive against people? (Children mainly) Thanks again!

Even the tame ones will test bite you just to see what they can get away with
