If you leave a pair of budgies in a breeding cage and a nest box all year will they keep breeding?

Mine are......

 

They were fit, in good condition and they liked the look of the nest. :book:

 

Seems like fewer of the eggs were viable though. 11 out of 13 candled as developing but only 4 out of 13 hatched.

simple answer is yes evan out of condition they will try to breed now its not the laying of eggs that causes the problems its the strain of bringing up the chicks that is why it is recommended that only two clutches in a year
