February 6, 200817 yr Oh Kaz I am so sorry this is such sad news. I know how much you love each and every one of your budgies and babies. May they rest in peace and know they were loved in their short lives from you and their parents.
February 6, 200817 yr Sorry to hear that news Kaz, sadly from what I have seen with my few birds, there’s lots of feather quality issues in English type Budgies, most mutations are deleterious in some way from the normal bird. The buff gene seems to have lots of minor issues, which accumulate in those feather dusters.

I would have expected this kind of thing in show types ( maybe ) but these were not, so a complete surprise here.[ Edited February 6, 200817 yr by KAZ
February 12, 200817 yr Kaz, I'm SO very sorry for this loss... I know how devastating it must be for you. Any losses are hard, but a whole nest is one of the most painful for us breeders and I dread the day something like this could happen. My deepest sympathy, I'm still in shock I think.
