Posted January 14, 200817 yr As of about 15 minutes ago we have another budgie. Dad saw her sitting in a tree in the backyard so we put the cats in the laundry then the dogs into the house then a cage with millet seed and water on the ground outside and she actully went in! Now we just need a name. Any thougts on colour/mutation or an estimate on how old she is would be much appreciated.
January 14, 200817 yr She is a beautiful budgie. I would love her in my flock solely for her colour. As for mutation, she is definitely a pied, and I cannot clearly see an Iris ring, so I would say recessive spangle pied. You are very lucky, about half as lucky as she is to be caught.
January 14, 200817 yr Your Orphan Annie is lucky she landed at your house. She looks like a dominant pied spangle to me. Very pretty. Very lucky too :hap:
January 14, 200817 yr Oh Bec, she cute as... love her colours! What a lucky bird to now belong to your family.
January 14, 200817 yr How wonderful what a pretty little thing :hap:. Will you look for her owners? In our FAQ section we have an article about Finding a Bird and the different steps one can take to try and find the owners.
January 15, 200817 yr Author How wonderful what a pretty little thing . Will you look for her owners? In our FAQ section we have an article about Finding a Bird and the different steps one can take to try and find the owners. I will try and find her owners, it wouldn't be fair if I didn't. I'll check out the community notice boards (also put one up) and check the local papers (and look at that FAQ article) But if I don't find them, I'll be more than happy to give her a home .
