Posted January 10, 200817 yr I'm over the moon!!! a week and a bit ago we bought 5 fallow birds of a nearby show breeder... we paired them up within themselves and left them in the cabinets to breed. I've noticed that the hens always seem to be in their boxes so i was not suprised today when i went out there to find my gorgeous hen in the top box is eggnant!!!! she left a rather large poo and then disappeared back into the box, so we're expecting eggs soon!! YAY!!!! The hen below her in the other cabinet is also spending alot of time in her box so we're hoping for some good results from that pair soon also!! I'm so happy i'm managing to breed them... was worried they were a bit fo a waste of money for birds we couldnt breed :rip:
January 10, 200817 yr Author Sure do, just got some then... - eggnant hen 1 - partner to eggnant hen 1 - fallow hen 2 (also appears to be eggnant atm) - partner to hen 2
January 10, 200817 yr Nice birds Libby, best of luck they should produce some nice chicks can’t wait to see them. Your starting off with better looking bird than me with Fallows.

January 11, 200817 yr Author Definatly not Kaz i wont complain like i've said before.. a fallow is a fallow, they're all gorgeous to me Oh yes good news guys... Hen 1 laid her first eggie today !!!!!
January 11, 200817 yr Yes Fallows are a rare Mutation, apparently people don't like them, I don't know why as I think some of them look real nice. I was surprised to find one in a pet shop & my attempt to get some show types around here have failed as the guy that wins all the prizes here wont sell. So you are lucky.
January 12, 200817 yr Author Pair number two laid their first egg yesterday!!! and pair number one are due for their second today!!! We've put a third pair down that we've had no success with before, but this time their vents have been trimmed That's shocking to think people dont like them norm Each to their own i spose
