Mr Welcome Wagon - Comet

:ygbudgie: My budgie sitting budgies (Echo and Lemon) went home today to the delight of their owners so I was finally able to put my new adopted rescue birds (Pickle and Sky of the ever growing beak) out into the living room. They will be getting a new cage next week, I am so excited. Now Comet loves EVERYBODY and adored his babies (Echo and Lemon) while they were visiting for almost 3 months but the noise level here is now incredible!!! Comet loves Pickle (definitely male) and is ignoring Sky but is the most excited I have seen him in a long time, it's good to be happy but he is way over the top!!! :)

:(Laughing out loud): That's so cute!!! Comet sure looks like a real character.

:) Remember he went to the Pet Expo Rescue at the beginning of November and 2 people wanted to adopt him!!! He still will NOT give it up and to think I adopted him as a rescue as the tag said 11 years old and I felt sorry for him, which, we now realize, should have read 11 months old plus hyperactive plusplus!!!:P
:) I have NEVER had problems putting Comet back in his cage before but last night I had to chase him all over and resort to a butterfly net (didn't work). We were both exhausted!! And now he and Pickle are hanging onto their respective cage bars and singing loud songs across the room to each other!
:) Everything is TOTALLY out of control here!!! Comet's son and daughter were in the same place for almost 3 months and Comet used to come and coo softly away at them. I delivered Echo and Lemon home yesterday and was able to bring Sky and Pickle out of the bedroom and place them in the same spot. Comet is NUTS!!! I opened Pickle's and Sky's door (not like they have been coming out much when afforded the oppurtunity) and Pickle (wings clipped) jumped on the floor and went over to Comet. I put him back in his cage and let Comet out, Comet jumped into Sky's and Pickle's cage but he was mean to Sky (to my surprise) so I locked the door. He continued to canoodle with Pickle through the cage bars for 2 hours until I chased him (with much difficulty) home! DEFINITELY Comet, Sky and Pickle are boys but why is Comet getting so excited with him and leaving his old buddy (Buddy, wings clipped, next cage) behind? Maybe I shall have to put Sky of the evergrowing beak in with Buddy? What fickle companions and NO females involved here!

:fear Comet is still interacting TOTALLY with Pickle when let out of his cage, don't get it, poor Sky! :fear

And who said FEMALES are the complex sex!!!!! :fear Maybe a switch-a-roo is on the cards... "these are the days of our lives..." keep us updated!

:fear Sky and Pickle are getting a new, bigger cage in a few days so will see what happens then, I would get it if Pickle was a female but he is not (but then he is a carbon copy of Comet's love Star that had to go back to rescue but he should know the difference?) Shakes head, weird budgies!!I feel so sorry with Sky of the long beak, odd man out. :( It is SO NOISY here these days, I used to have the spare bedroom full of rescue birds (all species) but the racket in the living room is totally beyond belief now!!! :fear

Maybe they know sky is different and it's like when we we were a school and the 'different' child gets picked on... Hope not though. Sounds like you'd have trouble finding a quiet place at your house (Laughing out loud)... Good Luck. I'm sure they'll love their new cage too.

:ygbudgie: Will post a NEW picture when the cage arrives, the gal forgot to bring it last time she was in town so it's next week now, am dying to set them up in a great cage!!! Comet still visiting but WILL go home at some point now, silly little budgie!!! :hap:
