Posted December 19, 200717 yr I've had to take a baby out 3 days ago approx. 3 wks old. having a little trouble feeding baby with a suringe, unsure if I'm doing it properly, don't want to drown the lill fella. I've been popping the suringe just inside the beak and squeazing a little bit at a time, is this okay?

But if he is getting thin and weak and you see no significant food in his crop its a sure sign it isnt working and he may starve. Any photos ?
December 20, 200717 yr Author no photos yet, but its crop is filling eventually, takes about an hour a feed. this morning after his snack he had a little chat 2 me (very excited) an loves a lill scratch under his chin. he was making the feed me sound but i still have to force his beak open
December 20, 200717 yr I bent a tea spoon up on both sides with the end the right size to fit the beak and this can also work once they get use to it being food , you just scoop your mix and put it to the beck and tip up slowly as he feeds.
December 21, 200717 yr Author Try making the feed a little runnier. It helps. Tried the bent spoon and it works like a treat, thanks heaps, baby is nice an full. i cant believe the difference its made.
