okay my two budgies I have been trying to breed lately, havent really had much going on. They have grown up together, and Ive had both since they were a few months old. They are both now about 19 months old now. I put the nest box in a long time ago, and nothing happend, so I took it out for 3 weeks, and now it has been in for another 3 weeks. Nothing has happend.

The female is in breeding condition(dark brown cere). They get high grade seed, pellets, egg food, and fresh water everyday. I also put a vitamin supplement in the water once a week. They have a cuttle bone, mineral block, and a calcium mineral stone in the cage.

I really dont know what else to do to get them to breed. Last weekend I thought my female would lay an egg, because I noticed in the morning there were some large droppings, but nothing....Any suggestions?

Oh and I do have 4 toys that are pretty distracting to breeding. Should I take them all out?Only reason I wouldnt wanna take all of them out is because 2 of them my budgies sleep on every night, and if those were gone it might make them uncomfortable.

Sorry you are having this issue... It's a bit like humans, you can make them pair up. Although youv'e had them together for a long time, they may just see each other as best mates, and nothing more. Have you seen them mate? Do they behave like they love each other? Even though your hen is in mating condition, you male may not be. I'm not sure if they come into condition at the same time/age. Someone else may be able to help you with this. I haven't really got any solutions for you but I'm sure someone else will. Maybe try next season? Maybe you'll need to pair them up with others? Sorry I can't be more help. Best of luck... let us know how you go :D If they are the birds in your sig. they are so sweet and I'm sure will produce beautifull babies (if THEY want to)
