I got this new vitamin supplement today for birds. Its a powder that you put in the water. I stirred it up, and the water turned neon yellow sort of. Its called vita flight. Do you think my budgies will even drink this?I figured this is safe, but what do you think?

I have something like that but it's a yellow liquid (12 drops to ever 100ml of water)

 

It also goes bright yellow but they seem to like it it. I leave it in the cage for 24 hours as their only water source. The other think that I watch it that you only put it in metal contains as I found that with plastic ones that it starts to grow stuff and leaves a very slimey film on the plastic.

 

I give it to them about once a week, twice if any of them are going through molt.

I have something similar to Angelic Vampyre, however my budgies won't go near the water if I put it in (they just have to be difficult (Laughing out loud)).

As an alternative I use a Vitamin & Mineral seed and mix a tablespoon into their regular seed.

Try and remember that if you use a vitamin or similar that make the budgies avoid their water, it can also be given as the liquid you use to mix their soft food, egg and biscuit mix, or to put through vegies they do eat like washing it over their greens and grated carrot :rip:

I also use a product called NV powder it turns the water yellow also . I use it once a week .

Just be mindful though that some of these vitiman supplements are sugar based and must be replaced daily you should also when giving additives to the water to make sure the water containers are not in direct sunlight as this can render some products inaffective or make the water go off quicker.

I use liquid vitamins, but it has orange juice in it I think, and it only colors the water slightly yellow and I think it also makes it sweet, so they still drink it with no problem :rip: .
