Posted December 8, 200717 yr Just wondering if my new fledgling is a pied... This cheeky little bub wouldn't let me take a photo, so i snuck in while she was sleeping. Hence the droopy look on her face (Laughing out loud). She is a solid sky blue with normal black markings. I am asking about the white patch on the back of her the neck. It seems too low for pied makings. She also has 2 clear flights. Thanks Liv Edited August 15, 200816 yr by **Liv**
December 8, 200717 yr Yes I would say she is a Dominant Pied interesting spot and how low it is but the pied gene can do that :budgiedance:. Where one of the parents a Dominant Pied?

December 9, 200717 yr both your birds are dominant pied the female looks double factor dominant pied very pretty and that would confirm yes he is a single factor dominant pied like his daddy :budgiedance:
December 9, 200717 yr Author Thanks so much for your help. Its wonderful to know my little one is a pied Thanks again. Merry Christmas. Liv
December 10, 200717 yr I agree with Elly, the mom is a double factor dominant pied (I have one that looks just like her), and the dad is a single factor dominant pied yellowface... your baby is a single factor dominant pied.
December 10, 200717 yr Gorgeous birds- pieds are my favourite- with the breeding of those 2 birds you should only get pied babies no normals. Single and double factor babies. (for next time!!)
December 15, 200717 yr Author okay I'm an idiot.... I checked my records today.... That blue bub is from my other breeding pair! :fear OOPS!! I think I am going a little loopy!! Sorry guys. You are in fact right.... The two pieds have had only pied babies. Thanks again for your help. Liv
