With regard to this question

 

Can a cock bird have a brown cere?

 

Its kinda ambiguous. Its known that a cock can develop a brown cere ( a cockbird with "issues" ) ...so that means it CAN have a brown cere. But a brown cere is not allowed on a cock bird for show. Which way do you mean the question to be asked ?

Hi Kaz yes that was one that you got right. :) A cock can have a brown cere but not on the show bench.

Yes that Why I stated No as I knew it wasn't allowed in show and this was a quiz on show birds.

 

I'm waiting for the answer about the faults. I have no clue as to what these could be and would be good to know.

Here is the Answers.

  1. Yellow
  2. Yes. Can be caused by lack of condition, old age or renal problems.
  3. Cinnamon
  4. Yellow and white
  5. Yes. If there is less, it is a fault.
  6. Body Colour in wings.
    Uneven body colour.
    Black markings not clearly defined.
    Small or misshaped spots.
    Flecking
  7. The Bird is disqualified.
  8. There are only two primary tail feathers.
  9. No. The varieties with a solid eye and no white iris ring are Recessive Pied, Dark eyed Clear and german fallow.
    Also all nest feathers.
  10. The tail quill of a cinnamon is brown.
  11. The colour of a lacewing spot is cinnamon.
  12. A spangle with cinnamon markings is accepted. Spangle ASV.
