Posted December 2, 200717 yr Hi I give my budgies gum branches and grevillia branches to chew on, I do rinse them under running water first, but is their any concern about mites or parasites from wild birds being on the branches that will affect my budgies????
December 2, 200717 yr I don't think you have to worry about mites, the chances would be pretty remote, of getting them just from branches, most mites live on the birds themselves.
December 2, 200717 yr I would not worry. Great for the birds, they love the different flavours. Some say the Eucalyptus is like a ntural medicine for them anyway.
December 2, 200717 yr Agree with previous comments. Also try them with leaves and branches from the peppermint tree. ........and hibiscus.

I'm trying to find the right Eucalyptus for ages, but I'm afraid to use the once they sell here  Thanks a lot
