Posted October 26, 200717 yr Smudges and Cloudy have had another six eggs. Her eggs started hatching Sunday and she has three babies so far. I did take baby pics this morning before work but ran out of time to upload and post them. I will do that tonight This is Smudges the hen and her in her box with Cloudy the cock
October 26, 200717 yr Author Not sure, I hope she has babies with more cinnamon this time than last, but if she doesnt, she doesnt. I will look closer tomorrow, I put shavings in there tonight and didnt want to take too long, although, I really dont think Smudgie would care, she's a good mum and a pretty relaxed one too After a good rest I would like to try her with my new cinnamon wing sky blue boy and see what happens. Both her and Cloudy have a lot of base white on them.
October 28, 200717 yr Author I think there is just one with plum eyes at the moment from what my inexperienced eye can tell. Her fourth hatched yesterday. Edited October 28, 200717 yr by Sunnie
November 19, 200717 yr Author Here are my most recent pics of Smudges and Cloudy's babies. Three are almost all white with just a touch of cinnamon on their wings. I only photographed two it seems (Laughing out loud) And the one that's different.....
November 22, 200717 yr hehe gorgeous!!!! how do u get them to hold out the same one wing each time... now that's skill i baggs the littlest cinnamon one
November 22, 200717 yr Do you think that Cloudy is a Spangle? I was wondering if those White ones were Lacewing, but they may be Cinnamon Spangle & then they have so much Pied also, which makes it hard.
November 22, 200717 yr yeah cloudy's a spangled recessive pied:) i'll answer for tracy :hap: i have many pics of her birds on my comp he's a cutie some of his last clutch i beleive came out cinnamon spangle recessive pieds
November 22, 200717 yr Author These are pics of their youngest baby. I just noticed this morning, I think it is possibly a cinnamon spangle or a lacewing. Mind you, I think the morning sun is just a tad too bright to tell and washed out most of the cinnamon colouring :hap: Has to be a hen, she's a REAL little biter! The oldest was hanging out the box when I left, looking like she really wants to come out, so wont be long for her!
November 22, 200717 yr Author Not yet, I am not sure which ones I will sell and keep yet. I still have three very similar babies from her last clutch inside waiting to go into the big aviary. I dont have individual names for them either, but they are such a comical trio, we call them the Three Stooges (Laughing out loud).
