Yes, my littlest girl isn't so little any more, but, of course, just as flighty as ever.

 

But she has changed - she has gone from this

Any thoughts? I thought she was an opaline? Is she just very heavily marked now she has been through her 6 month moult?

 

 

This is her mother, Olive (actually a grey-green)

and as for the dad, we were sure it was a non-green spangle opaline, and the only one in the aviary at the time was Jezza . . .

She has turned out really well. What a magnificent hen :D I would say she is a heavily marked opaline too :)

okay, can someone please tell me what is going on with my little girl? I know she is supposed to be an opaline, but she is getting darker and darker as she is getting older, both her back and her face . . . . . :blink:
