November 3, 200717 yr I want to know more about this also, would a normal vet know? as there arnt any bird vets in my area. Thanks
November 3, 200717 yr :ausb: This must have been buried somewhere and the breeders didn't have a chance to look at it, hopefully they will now.
November 3, 200717 yr There are different levels of French moult. I have had a few and have a routine to try and spot it. It seems to be successful. I have French molters that are 10 months old and going strong. I have kept one for breeding. The ones i have had haven't been severe. Couple of runners that have grown there feathers back after a few months. I haven't had a French molter in 6 months... touch wood Routine seems to be working. Oh didn't stop breeding just concentrated on doing it better.

November 8, 200717 yr I don’t know where your post has been Shell, as I have been on here every day & this is the first time I have seen your post. That second photo of yours looks like it may have more than FM. It has signs that it could be what’s called a Feather Duster too; it seems to have extra long feathers. These type birds definitely don’t live long, most of the FM I have had don’t seem unhealthy in any other way & have lived a long time. I notice you have read my post on FM so I can’t tell you much more. Most birds are suppose to get immune after at least 12 months, so you must still have a bird that is a carrier.
