Mixing Adult & Baby Budgies?

Featured Replies

Posted

We had our new aviary delivered and we have set it up all ready to go.

I rang a local breeder from the Trading Post in my area. He has a few babies (says there aren't many babies around right now. Is this true?) and has babies that will be ready in roughly a months time. He said he could sell me some babies and some adults. Would this be okay? They will be together in the one aviary. The babies are 6-7 weeks old and feeding themselves. Unsure as to how he has them set up until I visit him tomorrow.

All your advice is greatly appreciated

Nic

As long as you're not colony breeding (i.e. there will be no nest boxes in the aviary) there shouldn't be a problem having babies and adults in an aviary together. :D

i have young babies in with adults... :D no troubles as of yet :D

As Bea says..as long as they are in the aviary with NO nest boxes....all will be fine. :D

Thanks for your quick replies.

There will be no breeding boxes so all should be okay.

Thanks
