Today i was thinking that if a pair has been together for along period of time can i mate them with someone else in the aviary?

 

Also please give me some tips on how to do what i told you

 

My Mum Thinks I should keep my pairs together but...

Are you breeding colony style or in breeder cages Nathan ?The answer to your question is YES of course you can. Budgies do not mate for life. But I ask the questions about how you are breeding as you want further info. You havent answered your last topic yet either.Cheers K

Im Breeding Both

 

I Have 4 breeding cages (in the aviary)

I Also have 4 nesting boxes in the aviary so they can breed in both

Try and invest in more breeder cages rather than aviary breeding, unless you are home to watch the birds breeding in the aviary all day everyday, it wont work successfully. By more breeder cages I mean instead of nestboxes in the aviary. 4 breeder cages should be fine for your breeding program.
