Are budgies supposed to have hot or cold feet?

 

My one has hot feet, always hot and very healthy and happy. But my sisters has permenantly cold feet, again always cold but very healthy and happy although not very friendly.

 

Does it depend on the bird or are they supposed to be one or the other? Or is it maybe that mine gets the heat from sitting on me for hours at a time whilst my sisters wont have anything to do with her (very obstanate budgie that likes his own way and doesnt like to be touched but happy to take food from hand and plays lovely)

I find pogi's feet are hot one minute and cold the next and he seems to be in top condition. I dont think this is a reflection on health but it would be interesting to try and establish what the cause might be.

 

I might start recording when they are hot or cold and see if there is a link to anything.
