Posted September 30, 200717 yr Hi my name is Tammy. I'm hand raising 3 babies at the moment. After they eat they seem to have air in their crop as well as food. Is this a problem and if so how can I fix it? I use a bent spoon to feed.

I use a bent spoon to feed. If the mixture you are feeding off the spoon is a little thicker you will get these air bubbles. Try thinning down the formula a little and see if it makes a difference.

October 1, 200717 yr I saw a video about a guy that was an expert at hand rearing parrots & in it he recommended making the food quite runny, he said that thick food caused lots of trouble.

Will the air cause any problems? A friend took some photos of my babies and i will try to put some on soon.
