Posted September 8, 200717 yr Whenever I put my cages outside I usually tend to give my birds a nice mist for a little bit, maybe 5 minutes. When they are really wet, it seem that they cant fly. I pick them up and get hem used to my hand and let them know that I'm not going to hurt them. Is this kind of training wrong? (since im taking advantage of the "not being able to fly" thing)..... :dbb1: :excl: :ausb:
September 8, 200717 yr I can't see why it would be, as long as they love the spray down. It's the same idea which leads to some people clipping their wings. Edited September 8, 200717 yr by Nerwen can't type :D
September 8, 200717 yr when you do this are they enjoying it or are they hyper ventilating that is the key if you are causing more fear yes it is not a smart way to train but if they are enjoying the mist and then your interaction it would be okay.
