August 27, 200717 yr Author Thanks Libby but sorry no can do, :(Laughing out loud): I have great hopes for these birds, I'm hoping to show the grey green and the double factor if they turn out good and at this stage they look very hopefull. :ausb: I know I shouldn't get my hopes up because that seems to be when something goes wrong .

August 27, 200717 yr Author They are lovely aren't they, I love the grey green too, I was starting to train him and a grey green cock and a grey green opaline for the uncapped show in a couple of weeks but I stopped because th later two will be molting by then but here are the photos of them my show team. this is the one above and the other 2 which are full siblings, these 2 are a few weeks older than the one above Grey green cock, could be a hen same bird as above Grey green opaline hen What do you think Edited August 27, 200717 yr by splat
August 27, 200717 yr Author Yes Kas, really pleased because i have improved on last year by heaps. But those 3 above are the best young we have so far, but that is only because the rest are moulting and they look so crappy, can't wait to see how they turn out.
August 28, 200717 yr Very Nice!! Love the greygreen fella he is gorgeous. Also like the grey spangle.
August 28, 200717 yr Splat, are you hopeing to get to the UBC Shield in a fortnight.I have 3or 4 I will take out of the breeding cage today to get them to sit on the perch & not bury them selves in the corner of the show cage. :dbb1:
August 28, 200717 yr Author I was training them Macka but the grey green and grey green opaline will be moulting by then so I'm only left with the grey green in the first lot of pics which is the best any way but he is the naughtiest too, he trys to fly out of the top of the show cage where is the other 2 are older and the sit beautifully but anyway Greg reckons it's not worthing taking 1 bird to be selected. What's your opinion Their ages are opaline grey green 6-6-07 and grey green 4-6-07 both from the same nest, the grey green is starting to moult I see some capp feathers starting to happen and the other grey green was hatched on the 1-7-07
August 28, 200717 yr It is hard to judge, when there cap will break. Some are okay for 8 to 10 weeks. Mine are hatched between the 7th & 16th july, afterb that they are to young for the shield, but okay for our show on the 16th july & second round for ballarat & our agi show,Fingers X. :dbb1:
