Incubator Success

hey guys i just thought i'd let ya know that after purchasing our incubator and saving the eggs in the aviary from bad mothers we've had alot of success with 4 chicks hatching in the last 2 days they've been fostered out to a mother removed from the aviary with her partner and all are doing well:) even had a new experience of hearing the chicks chirping inside their shells... it's definatly boosted my confidence that the rest of the eggs in the incubator will make it... and in case any are wondering the mother has taken to the chicks very well:) but if any of you are interested in determining what the chicks will or could be for us that'd be wonderful:)

chick 1: violet hen x sky blue spangle cock

chick 2: " " x " "

chick 3: lutino hen x yf2 opaline spangle cock

chick 4: grey green hen x cinnamon wing opaline light green cock

cheers libby:)

very neat, are you hand feeding them or putting them in with newly hatched chicks?

they've been put in with a mother removed from the aviary and she's feeding them all :ausb: she did have eggs which were duds which we "removed" because her "babies hatched" :) :angel1: but so far so good:) i thought she'd struggle with 4 new borns but she and her partner are doing extremly well for themselves

i just tried to upload a picture of the hen and chicks but imageshack doesnt want to upload so i'll post it up later on:) sorry guys:(
