Hey, here is a picture of one of my chicks, but I have forgot when It hatched and have no idea how old it is. Because most of you are expercied breeders I thought you might be able to tell roughly how old it is looking at the picture. Also its dad cant fly at the moment and just sits ontop of the next box all day so the mother has to do all the feeding will the chick still survive with just its mother looking after it ?

I would guess about 2 weeks old.

 

Yes the mum can take care of the along if need be, add some millet in the box to help her and if you can seed and water close to the box.

 

Have you taken the dad out to check why he can't fly?

I would say about the same 2 weeks and maybe a couple of days. I have breeding boxes where the hen is only raising the babies and they are doing great.

I would say,2 weeks 3 days & 22hours old.
