Nesting In The Aviary

Does anyone have any idea's? I have a lutino hen with 6 eggs she does'nt seem to be sitting on her eggs a great deal of the time during the day,Yet she stays in her box during the night. The nest boxes are in the aviary, I have never bred budgies in an aviary before I used to only breed in seperate cages selectively.

I wouldn't worry to much Stuart, my hens seem to go in and out all day but they still hatch.

Have you got other hens in there that can fight over the nest? :hap:

But if she is sitting on them at night she must be sitting in the day too. :o

my birds have a habit of popping in and out all day long too but sit at night also and i've had 3 babies hatch so far.... only problem i find is when they're scared off the nest at night... that's when i get bad results with the babies dying in the shell...
