Posted August 5, 200718 yr hi i have a yellow bird with pretty white face feathers. I think he is a lutino. I don't know if he a male. his cere is violet in colour. August 5, 200718 yr A yellow bird with a white face....WOW! sorry that's is what I firs thought then realised you must be meaning the cheek patches. A picture is the best. Many times people state one colour and others called it another.
August 5, 200718 yr Yes a picture would be best. If his cere is blue (not a deep pink) then he is not a lutino but a different mutation if he has a pink cere, red eyes and he is all yellow he most likely is a lutinio

August 7, 200718 yr How old is the budgie Snowy ? billy is 4 1/2 months. he? is going thru his? a molt. leanne At around this age or soon after the first moult...if Billy is a hen the cere will be going brownish. If it stays purply pink its a boy.
August 7, 200718 yr at this age the cere will be changing to the adult colour, which if you have a lutino (red eyes) will stay the baby pink for males and change to the normal brown for girls.
