Had a bit of a surprise when they feathered up.

2 normal greys and this little fella- he is very light coloured and I would say greywing although he is very very light in 'person'

Mum is cinnamon violet opaline and dad is Grey

What was the pairing? For Greywing both the birds must be split greywing or be a greywing.

He maybe cinnamon skyblue. The body colouring is light which could be caused by the cinnamon gene.

It looks lighter than cinnamon markings to me...

no- def not cinnamon, he is pale grey and the markings are pale grey too. Not sure of the splits- dad is a SthAus KK bird dont know parents- mum is also unknown

Just thought I'd throw the picture up as it surprised me and we did talk about the pairing earlier.

Maybe my screen the baby looking at the monitor looks like an normal mauve? The cheek patches look blue not grey.

To have the greywing gene both parents would need to be split for the gene or of course be a greywing themselves.

Do you have a picture of the front of him? If his coloring is bright but light he would be a fullbody greywing if not then he could be 1. a greywing or 2 a dilute or 3. even maybe a clearwing if the body is light bright because his markings are very light. I would wait to till feathers up a bit more and certainly more pics up of him front and back .

Gorgeous babies.

Having had a full nest of dilutes, I would say your baby looks dilute to me

Definitely NOT cinnamon

yep Kaz looks like a dilute- but not knowing how the dilute gene worked properly I just said greywing(works the same hey? different outcome?). Elly his colour you can see on his rump- pale grey like the rest of him, I shall try for another picture for you :)

The other two are just 'mini dads'!!

Gotcha...I am going with dilute since the body is 80% washed out

Here is a nestful of dilutes for you. There were five in that nest. Cheeta has one and Feathers has one of them too.
