I have two female birds and several times within a few days, I have caught them preening eachother. :blink:

 

 

I thought that only male and female will preen eachother before mating. Is that true? Would two females preen eachother??

Preening is a natural behavior between opposite sexes and same sexes this is very normal. Pretty and Merlin both boys always preened each other :budgiedance:

Preening is a normal flock behaviour, it doesn't matter about the gender of the birds.
