July 12, 200717 yr Author I have approximately twenty budgies in quarantine, thanks to my husband who bought them for me. Hey Kaz, how DID you get your hubby to do that? Please do tell!! Envious, KathyW. Kathy, I have a wonderful husband, this time around. He's a winner. My first husband was abusive in all ways, so I figure Ken is my reward for all that. I went to this breeder intending to get 4 hens. My husband saw the birds there and just said...I am going to the bank to get you some more money. He came back and told me to pick some more birds
July 12, 200717 yr Author Huggos to Ken, beautiful birds Kaz, will you be needing NAMES???? Yes................but the grey dominant pied that Ken chose...the gentle boy who is tame....his name is Gentle Ben
July 12, 200717 yr :oliveb: Gentle Ben, simply lovely, I am so hot I cannot do anything else so will start on the names later on tonight after I water and try to resurrect the flowers that died today. :ausb: It is 40 C here now.
July 12, 200717 yr sky violet cock dom pied young hen named ACK-ACK for obvious reasons dom pied spangle dom pied cock My Favorites, lucky you Karen.
July 12, 200717 yr Author There IS some nice birds there, Nerwen More that I didnt get to photograph either. The one called ACK-ACK was sold off mostly because she is noisy and the breeder could not stand to hear her complain anymore. Temperamental cow she is. He said "good luck finding her a husband who will put up with it !!" :oliveb: I know she has flecking but she is a good type. The sky violet cock is stunning ....his colour in real life so very beautiful...doesn't show in thes photo real well. It is amazing to me how many show breeder do not realise they have sky violets birds and just call them cobalts. It is easily recognised once you are familiar with the signs. But I guess with showing budgies, there is only two blues in shows...sky and cobalt. :ausb:

July 14, 200717 yr Wow Kas, they are Lovely birds, What a wonderful husband you have, send him over here. I can't complain, my partner just finished building me a flight off the bird room for my babies. Might post photo late. I love it. He also did the safety door thing for the outside flights. So he's great in my books.
