Hehehe, that pair looks familiar . . .

Introducing a newly bonded pair, Lavendar (Male - Rec. Pied) and Jerri (Female - Sky Cinnamon)

I have also caught them in a photo, 'doing the deed', but Lavendar seemed unphased by the camera and

kept going! Decided not to put the picture on the forum though, but if you scout around my photobucket

Here are the five blue series babies. Some have the split recessive pied spot on the back of their heads. Although the photos dont show it well. ...4 appear violets ( or 3 violet and one mauve ) and one appears skyviolet.

Round two of breeding for this pair

Four fertile eggs. We have two visual violet normals, and two youngest are cinnamons...one seems to be a cinnamon violet or mauve and the other a cinnmon blue....time will show their colours better within a few days :D

So, for cinnamon to appear in this nest, it means the Dad is split cinnamon...YES ?

Sorry Kaz can't help you with the genetics.Wow can't way to see photos!!!!! hint hint nudge nudge wink wink

Yes that's right Kaz...but Mum is also Cinnamon isn't she so there is the chance that they can be of both sexes.

Both violet normals are out of the nest and seem to be a boy and a girl ( so not all hens like first thought ) One of our forum members has asked for them to come and live at her house when they are ready.

Hi Kaz,

Looking good, but all your birds do. I love the wing pattern definition on the violet normal closest in the first picture. Just beautiful.

Feathers.
