i have a violet mauve (well i think he is) and was wondering what colour should i put with him so i can get a violet/purple. I've only ever seen this colour berfore and that was long before i started with the budgies.

If you are, at all, unsure of this exact colour type Timbo, could you post a picture so we can help ?

As Kaz said a picture would really help. I don't think I have ever seen a violet mauve so I would be interested in seeing the coloration of the bird :budgiedance:.

Photobucket has added another line onto their tags (the bit you copy and paste) its the 'shared' line on top, don't copy that one I use the next one down (does that make sense?)

His colour shows the mauve colouring over his violet...could be best described as a dark factor mauve maybe ? But he doesnt just appear as a violet.

mauve is a a bird with 2 dark factors. I'm not seeing violet tints around the shoulders or tail/leg area. I would say he is just a Mauve.

 

I love the look of the yellowface any other pictures of him?

my birds are all in a avairy waiting for me to finish their new home (cant due to rain ) and this male has paired up with an albino as my 2 female yellowfaces have already paired up.
