Well for about 2 or 3 days now, My female Budgie has not went into her nest, at least not when I see her. she use to be in it almost everytime I went in my room. But now I never see her in it. Is she losing interest? Or is she just waiting for the eggs?

What do you mean by...is she waiting for eggs ?

What is happening between the pair ?

Are they mating ?

How old are they ?

Has she laid any eggs ?

Please clarify

Oh, I'm sorry! I dint make myself clear.

Well by wating for the eggs I meant like, are the eggs being developed in her...(if it takes awhile for that)

There is nothing new happenign between them, they still play around alot

They are both 2 or 3

No she has not layed eggs, but she is not doing anything more with her nest, like getting it ready or anything.

She use to go in her nest alot and chew up the paper and stuff, but now I never see her in the box.

Hope this is a little more info for you.

Are they mating at all. Have you seen anything like that ? It does take around 10 days or more to get eggs from their mating behaviour. At that time she will be in the nest a lot and have a large bump under her tail area ( vent ).

It's possible they have gone out of condition and by removing the nesting box for awhile and trying again in a week or two or even more, they may be interested further down the track.

Okay, I have not seen them mating at all, I'm guessing she went out of condition I will try to take out the nest for a bit.
