Hi Tory,

Welcome to the site and what great pictures for judging genders.

You have a little girl, and I would say the blue on in the last is a girl too.

and yesterday in the evening he came to our home...but he didn't ate nothing...like i saw...no drinking and no food......what i make in this case?...and he look like a baby?

Hi Tory...I sent you a quick PM about getting your post separate from this post so you can have the expose as an individual member and others can welcome you.

I do believe your baby and he is a baby boy is a double factor dominant yellowface 2 pied and he is too cute for words.

As for not eating blow lightly on the seeds and if some empty shells fly off you know he is nibbing and he will be okay. Budgies do not drink a lot of water and when they are brand new enviroment it is unlikely you will see him drink. I don't see Merlin drink very often.

As long as your budgie is healthy and you can click here for signs of a healthy budgie http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...d=33&artlang=en then he is perfectly okay.

If you see signs of him being sick click here http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...=105&artlang=en then of course you would want to take him back to the pet store if you want to return him or an avian vet if you want to keep him.

Honestly he sounds very normal and everything is going fine.

Here is an article about taming your budgies and what to expect in the beginning when you first bring them home http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...=155&artlang=en

Don't forget to Quarantine your new boy for at least a month (30 days)

Some illness can lay dormant and the stress of moving to a new home can cause them to break out. Many illness can be transmitted to other birds.

As Elly said it's normal for them not to eat for a say or so. If the cage doesn't have a grill on the bottom sprinkle some food on the ground, the tend to find it easier like that rather than the dish it is in. Or if there is a grill add a small dish on the ground. If you have millet add a bit to the cage as well, i have had a few in the first days happily eat some millet in easy reach before finding the seed dish.

Hi welcome, your two budgies are very pretty :ausb:

And what do you have in the other cage next to your budgie cage, may I ask? :):P:D
