HI Im wondering if anyone knows approxamatly how long it will be till my birds breed. I have got four. Two males and two females. I think they have paired up so is there anyone who has any ideas?

Is this your first time breeding? You sound unsure if they have paired up or not? This is something you should know :ausb:.

 

Have you seen them mate?

Are you breeding them all in the same cage?

If so what size cage?

How many nesting boxes?

Separating the breeding pairs may be something you really should do so you don't have issues with fights etc...

 

Asking questions so we can help you more with what you are wanting to know?

How old are they ?

What diet have you had them on ?

Your birds should not breed until they are all older than 1 year and they need to be in breeding condition. There is a lot of great reading about this in the Breeding section of our FAQ area which is here:

I Have two pairs of birds. I have two nesting boxes. So how long till my birds will breed? Two birds have I think paired up. What should I do???????

There are many things to consider when you begin to breed your budgies

Their housing.....are they in with others or separately breeding

Ages

Size and type of cage/breeding cabinet

Location of nestbox

Diet and supplements

 

etc
