June 14, 200718 yr hi... all babies will be split to blue unless of course if Baby is split to blue herself, which means that you may also get blue babies. Assuming that she isn't split, then yes, all babies will be split to blue. The babies' babies will be blue if they are paired up with a blue bird, or a bird that is split to blue. I hope that all made sense.

June 14, 200718 yr yes split to blue means the genes is hidden from the dominant gene. and no sorry, if she's not split to blue, it means that all babies will be green. Because blue is a recessive gene, it means that you need both parents to have the recessive gene to pass on to the babies, as you need double factor of the recessive gene (one from mom and one from dad) for it to show in babies.

Hi there, you are sort of correct. The chicks from Tiki and Baby will be split to blue, which means they have 1 dominant green gene (G) and 1 recessive blue gene ( b ) - so they are Gb. If you paired one of your babies (Gb) with another blue bird (bb), this is what you get: ....G ..b b Gb bb b Gb bb 50% Visual Green, split for blue Gb 50% blue bb OR If you paired one of your babies (Gb) with another green split blue bird (Gb), this is what you get: ....G ..b G GG Gb b Gb bb 25% Green GG 50% visual Green split for blue Gb 25% blue bb Does that make sense to you? June 14, 200718 yr The complete mutation of Baby is Opaline Light Green Clearflight all her male babies will also be split for Opaline, but not the females as Opaline can only be shown by females & not carried in the split form, as it’s a sex linked mutation. Like the others have said unless she is split for blue all babies will be green, the males will be split for Opaline & all young will mask the Yellow face blue, as green is dominant over blue, you will also have a 50% chance that the young will be Clearflight like Baby, as this also is Dominant. If Baby is split for blue, you have the chance of Green babies, some White faced Blue babies & also some Yellow faced young. If Tiki is Split for Opaline you can get Opalines of both sexes. Also you can get babies of some Recessive characters if both Baby & Tiki are split for the same gene…so could be interesting. Edited June 14, 200718 yr by Norm
