I would go bigger that is ideal for one that gets alot of exercise the biggest you can afford is the best, I got a nice cage that can house 4-6 for only around 100 on e-bay. If you would like the link let me know.

Bea's cage is ideal and if you go into the budgie cages forum and search you will see my cage if you do a search by my user name and many other cages too.

Hi

I also i'm new to the forum and to my 2x new Budgies Jack and Angel only learning, the cage I have is to small for them to fly, I have seen two cages one is 760 across x 460 D x 920H this was for flight would it be to big for 2x budgies and the cage being in the house, or should I go for the 30 "x across 18"Dx 18"H and would they be able to fly in this one aswel? Can you tell me what you think is best.

Thanks for any help?

Rose, welcome to the BBC forum. I don't think there is any such thing as too big. Either of those cages would be perfectly suitable for two budgies. It comes down to whether you have room for the taller one or not.

I say go for the taller one if you have the room for it. You two little ones will love you for it. People might say that they don't need the height, but Ihave a cage that dimention, and when I had my budgies in it (before they all went out to the aviary outside), they love zooming from top to bottom and back and forth.. provided of course you don't have too many obsticles in the way of the flight path.

And oh welcome. :(

Thanks so much everyone I think I will go for the larger cage sound like my Budgies will be happier there.Love the forum so much help and information

:) Welcome to BBC Rose, your questions have been answered and you shall find much more great info and wonderful pictures, enjoy!! :)

Good decision :D There is plenty of space in that cage to have perches and toys on each side. Then you can have the food dishes down low with nothing over the top of them so they don't get soiled. That will encourage them to use the whole cage. As Cheeta said they love zooming down and up and it's great exercise for them to use all the space.
