I was shopping with my parents today and just popped into the pet store for a look - see this shopping centre has only been open 2 months and I have to make sure that the birds are healthy! :angel1:

Anyway, as I was just making sure that all the birds were happy & healthy (they were) this hen kept coming up to the wire and chortling to me! She was making the sweetest sound and before long she was nibbling my nose. By golly that bird hypnotised me into buying her!!!

Well, we all love her already! She's so beautiful! :D

Please, what is her mutation? She's going through a little moult at the moment. She's a little bit olive on her back below the wings and her colour is sort of a mustard colour and not as rich as the photo's look.

That is what I was thinking too Kaz when I looked at her. She also looks opaline can they be both or is that part of the gene doing that?

Yes, there are opaline Texas clearbodies as I have some.

then that is my final answer ((Laughing out loud)) hope it is right.

Opaline Texas Clearbody

I was kinda thinking she was a TCB, I've only ever seen them on the computer screen.

Have to say I fell for her first & her mutation second!

She was irresistable and sang throughout the shopping centre & on the drive home! :(Laughing out loud):

She is nice Karen. And Clearbody is right. I wouldn't say opaline. Her wings should be the olive colour if she was. Remember yellow wings is a the normal colouring for a green based bird. Booboo is still green just that only the yellow is showing from the gene.

Yeah she looks like a Opaline Texas Clearbody to me. Why can’t I find a TCB at my local pets shop…Sob…Sob…Sob… Jealous…Normie.

I see the opaline Nerwen? especially in that back picture

Maloney that is what I would call her

Here is a front and back shot of Sasha, a Texas Clearbody Hen I used to have.
